I have a soft spot for senior dogs. For many years, that is all we adopted and fostered. They have so much love to give, even though it also comes with guaranteed heartbreak.
This years senior dog fundraiser is for Marshall (and hopefully some for Holly). Marshall came into MGPR care recently as an abandoned 14 year old senior. Soon after, a guardian angel came along and offered to adopt him and give him all the love and care he deserves. He does need several medical procedures, and the $900 raised will go towards those vet bills.
A BIG thank you to all the furry faces (and humans) that came out to the park Sunday to get portraits. Many of these dogs have participated in this annual fundraiser multiple times. And yes, a few young dogs came along side their senior fur siblings.
Lola, Tuesday, Olive, Walter, Zephyr, Ewok, Rommie, Macey, Spot, Abby, Marshall, Chuck, Dobby, Kody, Cooper, Fred and Casey. Thank you!
And heart felt condolences to Erin and her family who brought Olive on Sunday. I have had the honor of photographing and knowing this dog for 2.5 years. It breaks my heart to share that Olive crossed over the rainbow bridge just 2 days after the session. Erin cherishes her pet portraits and I am so glad they will be there for her through her grief.
