Newborn Portrait Pricing

When is the best time to book your newborn session?  I suggest anytime after the first trimester.

What do you need to bring to the session?  I have all of the props, backdrops and goodies to create a unique session based on your preferences. 

Studio newborn sessions are ideally done at 7-14 days of age (unless there is a medical reason to delay the session).  We want baby be safely able to squish into those adorable poses while fast asleep.  Sessions can be done past two weeks with the expectation that baby may be more alert.

Looking for something less posed?  I offer in home lifestyle sessions as well.  No props.  Instead we focus on the bond with your new arrival.

Fine Art Swaddled Newborn Package
$425

Session has a maximum of one hour studio time. Baby will be swaddled so we can efficiently get a variety of prop/overhead shots (no outfit or naked poses). Includes 10+ beautifully retouched, ready to print files of photographers choice. Option to add only sibling/family pet images for $60. Option to add parent/sibling/pet images for $175. Final images will be provided by digital download.

Fine Art Classic Newborn Package

This studio session lasts an average of 2-3 hours. Props & backdrops are all provided. Includes 20-25 beautifully retouched, ready to print files. They will best represent posed images through variety and details of photographers choice. Final images will be provided by digital download.
Option to add only sibling/family pet images for $60. Option to add parent/sibling/pet images for $175.

When should I book my newborn session?

Ideally book in the second or third trimester, before baby arrives.  This way you are guaranteed a spot in my calendar, the paperwork is done and all you have to do is let me know when baby is here and we schedule from there.

What age is best for newborn sessions?

Ideally I do my sessions 7-14 days old.  There are exceptions to every rule though.  If there are medical needs for mom or baby, the session can be pushed.  The session itself could be more challenging.  If baby is 3+ weeks I may suggest a swaddled newborn as it is easier on baby and mom.

Can I add my family, kids or dog to the session?

YES!  I have options to add on to most packages for each additional person.  I do not do extended family sessions with newborn as it becomes too much and baby may not be up for both family and the newborn portion itself.  I also try to limit the numbers in the studio to keep the space quiet and calm.

Do I need to bring anything to the shoot?

Just baby and babies food.  I have all the props, backdrops, outfits and accessories needed for a custom, beautiful session.

Do I get to choose colors and props?

When we schedule the session, I will send a questionnaire where you can include your choices and preferences.  Props are dependant on babies size and temperment.  I will always do my best to fulfill requests, but babies safety always comes first.

How long do newborn sessions take.

The swaddled newborn session is an average of 45-60 minutes.  The classic is usually 1.5 to 3 hours.  It all depends on if baby is sleepy, alert or needs extra time to settle.

Can I do my newborn session in home?

At this time I am studio only.  I have all the lighting, props, accessories on hand for your session ready to go.  It is a LOT of stuff.  And this way you do not have to clean your house.  Just show up and relax on the couch.
