I am sure many of you know by now about the "Love You Forever" project with Little Orchard Co, but just in case you do not, here it is.
In the beginning of 2015, I was asked to photograph a baby who was going to be delivered stillborn. This is something I always said would be "too hard" but something about this family changed my mind. I could not say no.
They had looked on the national registry of NILMDTS (Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep), which is a non-profit organization that provides photography for families dealing with infant loss, but there where none registered in Manitoba. This was to be their second loss in under a year and I had to be there for them. Yes, it was hard...VERY hard but it opened my eyes to just how important this type of photography is. This is often the only thing families leave the hospital with.
I have stayed in contact with this family and her wonderful sister (who happens to be Little Orchard Co) started this line of "Love You Forever" shirts with proceeds going back to NILMDTS. How amazing is that??!!! A local shirt company AND she gives back.
Anywho, if you would like to order one of these onsies, or shirts they are available from newborn all the way to adult. Thank you to all of these models who jumped at the chance to take part in this photo shoot. It was a blast!
